Success: Working together with other agencies to help our clients
Our client was referred for a foodbank voucher. They are unable to work due to health issues and have debts of over £4,000, for which they are already making some payments.
Our client had already been assisted to apply for a fridge/freezer, but on further investigation our adviser realised they were also in need of a cooker, as they only have a camping stove. Our client is also struggling to afford electricity.
What did we do to help?
- Request submitted to Children & Families for a £100 fuel/water card.
- Order placed for a cooker through the British Gas Energy Trust White Goods Fund.
- Foodbank voucher issued.
- Housing Association Money Management is due to visit our client to discuss their debt issues.
- Our client was provided with details of Talking Therapies, as they cannot attend group meetings due to their health issues.
Well done to Denny, our Financial Capability & Energy Awareness Project Worker
